Connect with fellow Gotham Members about narrative filmmaking during an open, informal meet-up!

Overview

Looking to plug into a creative, narrative filmmaking community? The Gotham’s monthly Peer-to-Peer Meet-Ups for Narrative Creators are an open, informal space for you to connect with like-minded creators as you navigate your own projects and career in film and media.

Led by Tara Grover Smith, a member of The Gotham since 2019, the “agenda” for each Meet-Up is different, and members are welcome to come with questions or suggestions. During these meet-ups, you may have the opportunity to: 

• Practice pitching and receiving feedback from peers
• Connect with peers that’ll hold you accountable and check in about progress on your latest projects
• Find resources and recommendations for opportunities for creators, professionals to add to your network, solving your production needs, and more
• Share and learn about fellow members’ ideas, experiences, and projects
• Be a part of intimate conversations with fellow members, Gotham Alumni, and friends of The Gotham who’ve secured distribution for their films, participated in programs at The Gotham like the Gotham Week Project Market or other labs and fellowships, and more.

Narrative Creators is generally hosted the first Tuesday of each month from 7 to 8 PM ET via Zoom. Ahead of each Meet-Up, you’ll receive more details about what to expect that month.
