Join Wscripted script consultants and Womxn Owning It on March 16th for a conversation about storytelling by women in different regions of the world.

Meet Wscripted script consultants, based between the US, Canada, UK, France and Tunisia, for a conversation that will dive into their experience as women writers and their commitment to support female emerging voices. We will also discuss the complexity of building authentic female characters for the screen.

The event will begin with a conversation followed by a brief Q&A.

Wscripted is the first talent discovery marketplace for content written by women that bridges the gap between women writers and decision-makers in the entertainment and literary industries worldwide.

Panelists

Inès Arsi
Inès Arsi is a Tunisian director, scriptwriter, and story analyst working in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, aiming to support emerging female voices from different backgrounds. Inès is story consultant for french & arabic projects at Wscripted.

Rebecca Katz
Rebecca Katz is an LA-based producer and development executive, who has worked for various independent film production companies and spent 6 years at Sundance Institute cultivating emerging writing and producing talent. Rebecca is passionate about supporting writing talent and aims to build development initiatives that propel women writer’s careers. Rebecca is the Head of talent development and story consultant for experienced screenwriters at Wscripted.

Carys Lewis
Carys Lewis is a Welsh-Canadian writer, director, script consultant, and founder of Fem Script Lab, who works across Film and TV in both Canada and the UK and is passionate about nurturing female emerging voices. Carys is story consultant for emerging screenwriters at Wscripted.

Sophie Muller
Sophie Muller is a French screenwriter, director, and script consultant who is the co-president of french script consultant non-profit “Lecteurs Anonymes” and aims to support authors find their authentic voice. Sophie is story consultant for french projects at Wscripted.

Sarah Stunt
Sarah Stunt is an LA-based Canadian screenwriter who has consulted, created, and developed projects with directors, writers, and producers in both Film and TV mediums. She is particularly interested in telling stories with strong and diverse female-identifying leads and creating a more visual platform for women as both storytellers and protagonists. Sarah is story consultant for TV projects at Wscripted.

Moderators

Letitia Guillory
LETITIA GUILLORY is a multi-hyphenate creative working in film, television, and theatre. She produced the award-winning short comedy, Pas Honteux (REVOLT TV), and thriller, Winston. Her work has been presented at the American Black Film Festival, Bronze Lens Film Festival, Hip Hop Film Festival, Blackstar Film Festival, TIDE Film Festival, Lincoln Center, P.S. 122, Harlem Stage, Project Row Houses, Oaxaca Film Festival, BRIC Media Arts, National Black Theatre Festival and more. In addition, Letitia produces events for NYC Parks and curates the award-winning Movies Under the Stars Programs for Brooklyn. Through this work, she fosters dynamic engagement between Brooklyn neighborhoods and indie filmmakers, ushering in new audiences, tastemakers, and fans of cinema. She is a member of the Hemispheric Institute, Harlem Dramatic Writers Workshop, NYWIFT, Black TV & Film Collective, Dramatists Guild, and DC 37. She is also a proud alum of the University of Texas (BFA, Drama), New York University (MA, Performance Studies), and a Blackhouse Foundation Multicultural Producers Lab Fellow. Letitia is thrilled to have both her episodic series, gATES, and feature, HOUND DOG accepted into the WarnerMedia 150 Innovation Initiative!

Ellie Jamen
Ellie Jamen is a visionary entrepreneur and producer, with extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry internationally. Ellie believes stories by women are universal and aims to support the development of women writers globally. Ellie is the founder and CEO of Wscripted.
