Registration For This Event Has Ended

Learn how to license music for your film with The Rights Workshop's Brooke Wentz!

Overview

Navigating music rights can feel like a daunting maze, for emerging and experienced filmmakers alike. Join us for an illuminating workshop with award-winning Music Supervisor Brooke Wentz of The Rights Workshop and Seven Seas Music, where you’ll learn the ins and outs of licensing music for your narrative or documentary film.

This seminar dives into key topics like copyright clearance, synchronization and master use licensing, music supervision, leveraging public domain music, and preparing cue sheets. Designed with independent filmmakers in mind, Brooke will share practical insights into the challenges and realities of working with music publishers and labels—along with how to avoid the dreaded cease-and-desist letter.

Whether you're looking to elevate your film’s soundtrack or demystify music licensing, this is your chance to gain expert guidance in a filmmaker-focused environment.
